Anyone going to the CCG swap meet in Farringdon tomorrow? I think I might go for a look-see.

Back when dinosaurs ruled the earth I learned to tango (not the Argentine version but the ...um... regular one). This fact made the ladies swoon Kate Beaton-style as I recall, though thankfully no one else knew how to dance it so they didn't get to see how bad I was.

The house move went fine but it took 10 days for the phone company to flick the broadband switch from "off" to "on" so I had no internet for over a week (which is centuries in internet time - countless memes could have been born and died, thousands of petty cliques could have risen and fallen in brutal flame wars and I would have missed it all). On the other hand, it was probably the most productive 10 days of my entire life.

Updates will be a bit sparse for the next week or so because I am moving house. I'm going south of the mighty Thames - culture-shock!! The new place is near the river so I will probably be drawing monsters in boats from now on. At the end of the street is the wharf where Bill Sikes hanged himself at the end of Oliver Twist (though the neighbourhood is a bit more upmarket these days).

We had jelly for pudding last night. Love it: it's a jolly slut of a dessert that'll happliy go with anything: ice cream, tin of peaches, dollop of yoghurt, dressed in frills of squirty cream like the lace on a pair of naughty knickers.
But NEVER in trifle because that's just common.

How can you tell it's summer in England? By the tattoos. As soon as the sun comes out, acre upon acre of pallid flesh criss-crossed in greeny-blue ink is unveiled. I like to think it's the awakening of sleeper agents from the Stilton Cheese people.
