Tozo at the Holy Bank. Coincidentally, this week was the anniversary of the death in 1982 of Roberto Calvi in circumstances that partly inspired this very storyline.

Recommended reading: I recently picked up a printed preview of Necessary Monsters, a new webcomic from Sean Azzopardi and Daniel Merlin Goodbrey. If Grant Morrison’s Doom Patrol had been drawn by Eddie Campbell it might have looked something like this. Can’t wait to see how it develops.

This time last year Tozo had a two week summer break - and this year he’s doing the same. The next update will be Sunday 15th June when we start the wind down to the end of Chapter 2.

2. I 've booked a table at the Birmingham Comics Show in October. Whilst I'm happy with a table by myself, I'm also happy to share in order to reduce costs. Let me know if you're interested. I am house-trained and know how to use a deodorant.
   
3. The London Zine Symposium is today: "Bringing together zine, small press, comic and radical writers to celebrate DIY and zine culture". I'll probably pop down there, with a copy of the Daily Mail to use as a cattle prod to keep the bolshie riff-raff at arm's length.
   
4. Beaver and Steve's James Turner is looking for a guest artist.

It was the London Thing yesterday. I'm planning a full convention report later but the headlines are: I met a lot of nice people, sold/traded a load of comics and managed to cover my costs on a slowish trading day.
Instead of the regular TOZO strip here's my contribution to the Thing Anthology (explanatory note: the theme was 'giraffes'). The regular strip returns next week.

Next Saturday is the London Web and Minicomix Thing! I'll be there with my first ever table at a comicon - do come and say hello if you can, and perhaps purchase some fine goods to keep me in the champagne lifestyle to which I have become accustomed (see below). There will be loads of great small-pressers there: young and trendy types such as Liz Greenfield, Will Kirkby and that Beaver and Steve guy, as well as old fogeys like Sean Azzopardi and myself who should know better.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition. The guesses for Tozo's age ranged from 26 years, 53 days up to 39 years, 96 days with most people guessing around 32. The correct age was 31 years 197 days. I'm pleased to announce that Tom Aldrich of Ohio, USA was the winner, providing the closest guess at 32 years 47 days. Congratulations to Tom!
